Hiking Club?

Hi
When I was living in Beijing I joined the Beijing Hikers Club there which did day hikes outside of the city (and weekends on occasion). I imagine there is lots of great places around here as well (despite the heat) and wondered if any such organization exists?

Other groups not strictly devoted to the out-of-doors (JICC, Indonesian Heritage Society, PPIA [Indonesian-American Friendship Association]) sometimes do hikes as well.
