View Full Version : Jet ski
Anybody know where I could hire jetski or anyone have one for sale ?
Hi Ex0ticdeE,
I suggest that you indicate your location (Jakarta? Bali? Batam? Other?) in order to have a precise answer.
I have a similar question but to buy jetskis (new). There is a long time now that this idea come back to my mind and I've realised that I've no idea where to buy them. I don't care about the location of the shop since I will have to ship them to Manado anyway. Thanks.

Are you thinking of starting a jetski hire business? Maybe we can get a bulk discount?

I have been diving for years and there was even a time in my life, not that long ago, where I was spending as much as 5 to 6 hours a day underwater. I unfortunatelly don't have anymotre that sort of time to give to my hobby. However, I have three kids, two of them being old enough to enjoy jetskying. I also definitively prefer the idea to have to watch them above the water rather than underwater. I have instructorship degree from various diving agencies, but I have to admit that I simply won't have the guts to teach diving to my kids...
Thanks for the link. It's a starting lead. :thumb:

sama sama, If you get one powerful enough then you could tow a waterskier behind it. But make sure that the fueltank is big enough, long way to Manado, LOL

Oh no... I was not speaking for myself... I was more seeing my kids as the paddlers. :smile2:
Just kidding.
I need to ship containers from Jawa and from Bali in 2011. Therefore a couple of jetskis could fit in.
In many coastal regions of Indonesia running out of fuel would be a secondary issue to picking up plastic rubbish. It doesn't take much garbage to wreck a jetski and a couple of Aqua bottles in the impeller would do the job nicely.
If you have them fitted with an impeller guard, then this isn't a problem. I have had a ski in Australia and it was fitted with the guard, it just fits over the intake and keeps most of the rubbish out. I found that seaweed presented the worst problem, as it will wrap itself around the shrouds and impeller, but harder objects such as plastic bottles etc get deflected away from the intake.

This is the contact info for the Indonesian Jetski Association. They usually have contacts for new and 2nd hand boats that have already been imported. Don't know if they have the beginner type boats but they definitely have some of the higher end stuff always for sale. I know someone that just got a new jetski and paid north of 50 large for it.
