Hard Water Hair Products?

Hey Ladies,

OMG Jakarta water is killing my hair. I spent a few weeks there last month and found my hair tangled and dry and hanging around like a dead animal. :faint2:

I am assuming this is due to mineral build up from hard water, and am wondering any of you have had the same problem? Do any of the salons there stock products that work to cleanse hard water build up? I believe Redken or Malibu might make some.. but not sure of the name.

Just want to see whether I should try to source this in Oz before I move to Jkt??

I've always found that Lifebuoy anti dandruff shampoo keeps my hair nice and shiny. Cheap and seems to do wonders for my hair.
Can't guarantee it will be good for your hair as ever one is different but may be worth a try.

Thanks guys for your help! I've done some more research since I posted, seems like there are some home-remedies for hard water issues that are recommended also - although I am yet to try them as I am still overseas.

Bicarbonate of Soda with water - make paste and use in hair like a mask or add a teaspoon to your shampoo
Lemon/Vinegar with water - rinse hair with mixture after shampooing/conditioning
